Starting an iPhone:
If you have an iPhone that is completely powered off (not just restarted), simply press and hold the side button (or the top button for iPhone SE (1st generation) and earlier) until you see the Apple logo. This will power on the device.
Note:
If your iPhone is unresponsive and you’re unable to turn it off normally, you can force restart your device:
- iPhone 8 and later: Quickly press and release the volume up button, then the volume down button, and then press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus: Press and hold both the volume down button and the side button until you see the Apple logo.
- iPhone 6s and earlier: Press and hold both the home button and the top (or side) button until you see the Apple logo.
If you encounter issues or your device does not turn on, consider checking your battery or seeking assistance from Apple Support.
