How to manually start quick start on iPhone?

To manually start Quick Start on your iPhone, you can follow these steps:

  1. Prepare Your Devices: Make sure both the old iPhone and the new iPhone (or iPad) are charged and have Bluetooth enabled.
  2. Turn on Your New Device: Power on your new iPhone. You should see the “Hello” screen.
  3. Bring Devices Close Together: Place your old iPhone or iPad close to the new one. This should trigger the Quick Start prompt on your old device.
  4. Select Language and Region: If the Quick Start screen does not appear automatically, you can manually initiate it by tapping “Set Up Manually” on the new device. Then, choose your language and region on the new device.
  5. Use Your Old Device for Setup: On your old device, look for the Quick Start screen, which will prompt you to set up the new device. Tap “Continue” to begin the process.
  6. Complete the Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the new device. This includes choosing to transfer your data from the old device, using Face ID or Touch ID, and setting up your Apple ID.
  7. Finish the Transfer: If you chose to transfer data, it may take some time depending on the amount of data being moved. Keep both devices close together until the transfer is complete.

If Quick Start Doesn’t Activate:

If Quick Start doesn’t activate automatically, you can still set up your new device without transferring data through Quick Start. You can skip the data transfer and manually restore from iCloud or iTunes later.

Remember that both devices need to run iOS 11 or later for Quick Start to work. If your old device is using an earlier version of iOS, you’ll need to update it before proceeding.
